If you are like me and looking for some new, quick and easy meals for the school year, look no further! The links are below for more 30 minute meals from my friends. Flip and grill another few minutes to ensure the trout is cooked through. You may need a bit more time, depending on the thickness of your fillets. Grill skin sides down about ten minutes, so the skins get nice and charred. Full meal easily on the table in under 30 minutes. Rub the fish fillets with olive oil, garlic powder and salt and pepper. Plus, it literally takes 5 minutes to prep while the grill heats up and then you have 20-25 minutes of cook time where you can completely ignore the fish while you cook some rice and toss together a salad to have with it. ![]() I actually make the fillet half spicy so the adults can have the heat and kids will still eat the mild half. This particular recipe is also great because you can easily make it spicy or mild. I have some serious fish loving kids (which I’m very thankful for because I love it too!) and it gets gobbled up every time I make it. (Remove heads if you prefer, and discard). Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry. I’ve made it several times and we all loved it. Turn preheated grill down to low and place the trout directly onto the grill cook until flesh flakes easily and the skins are browned, 6 to 7 minutes per side. Prepare the grill and allow time to reach maximum heat. The oil and the juice from the fish will get bubbly. Cauliflower has a mild flavor, allowing it to absorb the rich cheese sauce perfectly. Grill the trout: Place fish boats on the hot side of the grill. The cauliflower acts as the replacement for pasta, so this recipe is gluten-free. This spicy chili garlic grilled trout is fantastic. This baked dish will become a family favorite. And who isn’t looking for those during the busy school year? Grill skin-side down for 2 minutes, flip and cook until done. Remove from heat and immediately stir in vinegar, salt and pepper. Wrap the tin foil up around the trout and roll the edges together to create a tight seal. In a saucepan, combine garlic, oil, sage and rosemary. Place several thin strips of butter inside the fish and the rest on top of each fish. ![]() Place several lemon slices inside and several slices on top of each trout. Place an equal amount of chopped garlic inside each trout. Since I know that I’m not the only one that finds the school year sometimes a bit crazy, I’ve joined together with some of my friends to bring you a new series starting this week. Part of me is really sad summer is over, but the other part of me is kind of happy to get back to our regular routine, as crazy as it sometimes is. Summer just goes by way too quickly, and this one seemed to fly by. My kids started on Monday, and there was a mix of excitement to get back to school and see their friends and find out who was in their class, and sadness that the summer was over. So, school is back in, and the craziness that is the school year will now ensue.
